Habitus of Iced Tea Sellers in Surabaya

This study aims to explore and analyze the habits and mindsets of iced tea sellers in the social and economic context of Surabaya. The research used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, involving in-depth interviews and participatory observation of iced tea sellers in three areas of the city. The results show that the habit of iced tea sellers is influenced by various factors, including family background, economic conditions, and social interactions with customers. Iced tea sellers also face challenges of modernization and social change that affect their selling practices. This research is expected to provide deeper insights into the dynamics of iced tea sellers' lives, as well as provide recommendations to improve their welfare and support the informal sector in Surabaya.
